Celtic fans are split on the rumours that Scott McKenna could be on the move after the Aberdeen defender handed in a transfer request.
The centre-back has told the Dons he wants to leave after they rejected bids from English Championship sides QPR and Nottingham Forrest, per The Scottish Sun.
The Celts were rejected in a £3.5m swoop for McKenna last summer and Derek McInnes’ side turned down a £5m bid more recently, per a previous report from the same outlet.
It’s not yet clear if Neil Lennon harbours the same admiration for the 22-year-old as his predecessor Brendan Rodgers, say The Evening Times, but nonetheless supporters are already deep in discussion about the possibility of signing the long-term target.
And most of the fans have pretty decisively decided that they do not want the Dons ace, while a couple think he could be a worthwhile addition.
His arrival would be costly, with Jozo Simunovic linked with a departure away, and plenty have put two and two together, thinking that he could be a replacement for the 25-year-old.
Below are a selection of fans’ verdicts on the matter…
