Under the leadership of Phil Parkinson, Wrexham secured the National League title, marking their return to the Football League after a 15-year absence. The momentum has continued into the current season, with the Reds competing for a second successive promotion. Lee believes that their remarkable success is not only due to the squad's quality but also because of the tight-knit camaraderie within the team.

Speaking to reporters, he said: "It is not just about the strength in depth in the squad. It is the characters we have as well and we are such a tight-knit bunch. That is so important. I have been in some bad changing rooms and I have been in some good changing rooms and this is probably the best one I have been in for togetherness.
"Good, honest lads who come in, have a laugh and work hard, and I think you see that out on the pitch. It does make a massive difference because if you are a close-knit bunch, you want to do that extra yard for your mate. The squad depth is amazing but the characters we have is a credit to the team."
